First step of faith

Finally this blog is up! Actually ive registered this quite awhile ago, but of course I lacked the guts to scribble anything on it considering how blogs can get you into jail, bankruptcy and a maximum punishment of both nowadays. But I doubt that if I write about ancient kings and princes they'd shoot a lawyers letter (paid by their employees) to summon me to a trial in the heavenly courts, simply because Ive heard that lawyers are never granted entry to heaven. And we know in the story of the rich man in hell that he couldnt even get a sip of water from heaven, how could they possibly proceed with the transactions to engage legal services from hell?

Really though, we all know that there are no need for lawyers in the heavenly courts. Because God is the all seeing, all knowing judge who weighs the intentions of our hearts, his eyes of fire can see through all our make-up and other concealing devices. And someday, we'll all stand before him in judgement.

And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. - Hebrews 4:13

...DIE LAH! The author of hebrews also knew that, which is why he quickly put in the next line

Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. - Hebrews 4:14

Thats the solution! Jesus who roamed the earth, went to hell and passed through the heavens our great high priest who fights our case with his blood. The verse started with what Jesus did, and ends with what we must do as a result. And this is what Oasis is all about really, being true to our confession of who Jesus is in our lives. That is the immediate response to God's grace, not hold christmas parties, attend a church service or go to a church camp. And i really hope this Oasis will be that, a public confession of who Jesus is, what he did for us and a great big celebration of his victory in our lives.

Which is why:
1) I hope I can get the whole YF involved
2)I want to fill the house to its brim without any age limit

Does that sound impossible? You know it scares me to type this out, this is one of the reasons why I took so long to set this blog up, because so many times I asked myself, what the heck have I gotten myself into? Honestly, I really cannot answer that, but I know there are many people who have to face Hebrew 4:13 without the next few verses, I think thats infinitely scarier.

Moses is my hero of evangelism, I mean he just proves that if God is with you, what dare we not expect? Frogs, Locusts, Blood, fire pillars, sea splitting... how very exciting. God could use some old man roaming around the desert with nothing but a silly stick to deliver thousands of slaves from a giant political power, we can't even save our friends from detention class, God loves doing the impossible. But my question is this: without a burning bush, how do we know we are called to the great commission in such a public way?
